Mandatory compliance effective as of Monday Special to the Advance EDINBURG — Due to ongoing drought conditions, the City of Edinburg is entering Stage 2 Water Conservation efforts effective May 6, according to a city release.
April was a busy month for tornadoes across the United States with 373 recorded, bringing the total for the year to 549, the Austin American-Statesman reported. That is nearly double the average at this point in the year, the National Weather Service says.
HUB City Toastmasters meets each Wednesday at the Pharr Memorial Library, 121 E. Cherokee, second floor, from noon until 1 p.m. Visitors are welcome.
