PSJA Southwest Javelina commits to play soccer at Texas Southmost College

PHARR — PSJA Southwest Early College High School senior Addin Vela recently committed to play soccer at the collegiate level for Texas Southmost College.

With an impressive athletic career at PSJA Southwest Early College High School, Addin Vela has demonstrated exceptional skill and determination both on and off the field.

As a member of the PSJA Southwest ECHS Javelina soccer team, Vela has consistently showcased talent, determination, and sportsmanship throughout his soccer career.

Vela was named 1st and 2nd team All-District and was a member of the Javelina Football team as the kicker and punter where he received the designation of most valuable special team player of the year.

In addition, Vela also attended PSJA T. Jefferson T-STEM Early College High School where he participated in the PSJA Early College Program and will graduate high school with over 30 college credit hours.

The Texas Southmost College soccer program offers Vela the opportunity to further his athletic and academic pursuits. Vela will continue to excel in his passion for soccer while also pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.

Vela expressed his gratitude for the support he has received from his family, coaches, teammates, and the PSJA Southwest community.
